RAJOURI, Jan 22: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Vibodh Gupta, today chaired a public darbar here to redress various day to day problems of civil society in general and poor and under privileged in particular.
A large number of people drawn from various sections of the society attended the darbar and narrated their issues to the MLC in presence of the officials from PDD, PHE and Food & Supplies.
Vibodh gave a patient hearing to all one by one and took up the same with the concerned officers present on the occasion for their immediate redressal. Issues pertaining to those officers who were not present on the occasion were telephonically communicated to them for quick and early resolution.
Addressing the gathering, MLC said that he and the senior leadership of his party is well aware about the problems of common masses of Pir Panjal region. He said that the civil administration must regularly listen to the problems and sufferings of common masses and should come up with solution of these genuine problems in a time bound manner.
Expressing serious concern about the poor connectivity of rural areas of Rajouri, he said that it is his dream to ensure total connectivity of rural areas with the urban areas. He expressed hope that in the coming years this dream will become a reality with support of common masses.
District president of BJP, Dinesh Sharma was also present on this occassion.
