JAMMU, Jan 22: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a protest demonstration against 15 to 18 hours power cut in the Jammu region, particularly in the Jammu West Assembly constituency.
Addressing the protestors, JWAM president, Sunil Dimple demanded Governor NN Vohra to review the functioning of PDD, as despite metering power supply, the people of Jammu city, particularly of west assembly constituency are facing 5 to 18 hours electricity cuts daily, which has badly affected the business and domestic works.
He regretted that previous Government did nothing to solve the power crises in its ten-month tenure. The industries, hospital and other business establishments are badly suffering due to these long and unscheduled power cuts.
Dimple warned to gherao the offices of the PDD Chief Engineer and Civil Secretariat if power cuts are not stopped immediately.
