It is a very good news and pride for the people of the J&K State that an IIT is going to start in Jammu. It will definitely motivate young students of J&K to work hard and have an aim to crack IIT test. It is a very good decision taken by Govt. of India to have prestigious institutions in the State of J&K. This will create employment as well as boost the tourism. Now, students from the other states will come to Jammu for their studies and native students will study in their home state only. Further, the research progress will improved in such areas as medicinal plants of J&K which have remained unexplored. The biodiversity of the State will be utilized for the novel discoveries which will serve the mankind.
