JAMMU, Jan 24: A meeting of provincial committee of J&K United School Teachers Association (USTA) was held here today under the chairmanship of Hari Singh, provincial president for discussing the issues of ReTs.
The meet strongly condemned the Educational authorities for conducting of screening test of ReTs/ RReT’s. The process of conducting such a test at a time when they already have been engaged / regularized and working for the last 6 to 15 years in the Deptt, is a cruel joke with those who are described as builders of nation, the meet observed.
The USTA appealed the Governor administration to immediately withdraw so called screening test order so as to avoid confrontation with the teaching community.
The USTA also appealed all the sections of the teaching community and fraternal organizations to whole heartedly support the cause of RET teachers at this crucial juncture.
