KISHTWAR, Jan 24: A bar has been closed for creating nuisance.
According to order issued by GN Balwan, DM Kishtwar, it was noticed that M/s Mehfil Restaurant-cum-Bar was reportedly violating various provisions of J&K Excise Act 1958.
M/s Mehfil Restaurant-cum-Bar in the Hotel Kishtwar situated at Zelna on Kishtwar-Padder Road was creating nuisance in the area and the public of the area had shown lot of resentment against it.
There were every apprehension of the law and order problem in the area due to this Bar as the area is very sensitive, he stated.
Therefore in the exercise of power as per the J&K Excise Act 1958 under Section 47, DM has ordered the closure of said bar situated at Zelna on Kishtwar-Padder Road with immediate effect to maintain the peace.
