KISHTWAR, Jan 24: The work on widening of Malepeth to Kuleed Chowk road in Kishtwar town will be started in next month.
This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar while talking to Excelsior.
He said that the decision regarding the widening of the Road was taken in the last District Development Board (DDB) meeting and the authorities have started the ground work for the same in this regard.
He said the demarcation of the State land will be given in the area and instructions have been issued to Revenue as well as PWD authorities in this regard.
The maximum area of the road falls under State land and in the first stage the state land will be demarked so that work can be started from next month on this portion of the land.
It may be recalled that the people of Kishtwar are demanding widening of the road from a pretty long time to get rid of routine traffic jams in the area.
