POONCH, Jan 24: As a part of operation Sadbhavna, the Army donated computers and other IT material for the students of Govt Middle School Ponidhara in Poonch district.
A defence spokesman said that education must broaden horizons and students of this remote area must get benefits of the advanced technology. The Army under the spirit of ‘Sadbhavana’ gifted computers and IT peripherals to Govt Middle School, Ponidhara to herald in a new year of knowledge based on ever-expanding information technology for the students of this remote hamlet.
Sarpanch Gulpur Panchayat, teachers and children present at the ceremony were demonstrated knowledge and creative skill based applications and programmes. The excitement and joy witnessed among the children was shared by the teachers who expressed their thanks to Sarla Battalion, for making teaching so much easier and interesting for the students.
