JAMMU, Jan 24: Army today recovered a consignment of explosive material and ammunition from Seri Hatti forests in Gambhir Mugalan area of Keri sector in Rajouri district.
Official reports said a joint team of 38 Rashtriya Rifles and police conducted search operation in Seri Hatti forest area of Gambhir Mugalan and recovered the consignment, which comprised three Chinese grenades and 691 rounds of Pika ammunition.
Troops conducted searches in the area after making the recoveries but no arrests were made from the spot.
The grenades and Pika rounds had been wrapped in polythene bags and hidden in a small natural hideout, reports said.
