Lance Naik Late Mohan Nath Goswami, 9th Battalion, The Parachute Regiment (Special Forces) has been awarded Ashok Chakra (Posthumous) for his most exceptional courage and conspicuous gallantry beyond the call of duty, while killing two foreign terrorists and assisting in casualty evacuation, before making the supreme sacrifice.
Subedar Mahendra Singh, Sena Medal, 9th Battalion, The Parachute Regiment (Special Forces) has been awarded Kirti Chakra for his exemplary leadership, selflessness and courage beyond compare while eliminating two foreign terrorists and assisting in casualty evacuation despite being paralysed below the waist.
Sepoy Late Dharma Ram, 1 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion (Mahar) Parent Unit 4 Mahar (Borders) has been awarded Shaurya Chakra (Posthumous) for making supreme sacrifice of his life in true traditions of the Indian Army.

Major Sandip Yadav, 55 Rashtriya Rifles (Grenadiers) has been awarded Shaurya Chakra for displaying exemplary leadership, fearlessness in face of intense firing, gallantry and courage beyond the call of duty.
Major Anurag Kumar, 9th Battalion, The Parachute Regiment (Special Forces) has been awarded Shaurya Chakra for his exceptional tactical acumen, selflessness, inspiring leadership and courage beyond compare while eliminating two foreign terrorists and assisting in the apprehension of the third terrorist.
Colonel Santosh Yashwant Mahadik, Sena Medal, 41 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion (Maratha Light Infantry) has been awarded Shaurya Chakra (Posthumous) for this act of exemplary leadership, exceptional gallantry and utmost dedication to duty even at the peril of his own life.
Late Naik Satish Kumar, 21 Rashtriya Rifles (Guards) (Parent Unit-1 Guards) has been awarded Shaurya Chakra (Posthumous) for displaying extraordinary courage, commitment beyond call of duty in eliminating two hardcore terrorists and making the ultimate sacrifice.
Meanwhile, martyr Rocky of Border Security Force, who sacrificed his life while retaliating militants’ attack on BSF bus at Narsoo Nala near village Simrauli on August 5, 2015, has been conferred with Shaurya Chakra for his gallant action and devotion to duty.
On that day, about 0420 hrs, BSF convoy of Kashmir had left transit camp Jammu for Srinagar. When the convoy was negotiating a sharp road turn at Narsoo Nala, , 17 Km from Udhampur, militants armed with automatic weapon suddenly appeared before BSF bus and started indiscriminate firing thus injuring driver and others..
Constable Rocky of 59 Battalion BSF, who had also received grievous bullet injuries, effectively engaged the militants by firing bullets from his personal weapon.
When a militant was in the process of lobbing grenade in the bus, Constable Rocky rushed to the door and killed the militant with effective fire.
In recognition of his conspicuous gallant action, combat audacity, camaraderie and devotion to duty exhibited during ambush laid by militants, Late Ct Rocky has been conferred with Shaurya charka.
