EJAC supports Jan 30 protest call

JAMMU, Jan 27: Employe-es Joint Action (EJAC) faction led by Abdul Qayoom Wani has supported January 30 protest call in favour of ReTs.
In a meeting of the EJAC held here under the leadership of Qayoom Wani today, the speakers lambasted higher authorities in the Education Department for putting the whole department of Education in chaos and confusion for the last one year by issuing anti- employee circulars especially the screening test drama which has put about 50,000 ReTs in mental trauma.
Mr Wani said that screening test to ReTs especially with distance mode certificates is a cruel joke and it has created doubt on the credibility of teachers and the reputed universities like Kashmir University, Jammu University, IGNOU, MANUU and others recognised national level universities. He also referred to the ban on tuitions which is the creation of those elements which have put teachers, officers especially the student community in difficult situation.
The EJAC leader appealed all ReTs for complete boycott of so called screening test. He said that over five lakh employees were for their support. The leaders in the  meeting warned arrogant officers who are always hell bent on weakening the employees movement just to please their bosses for undue favours. Wani appealed all cadre and office bearers of EJAC to stand United with teaching community and participate in State wide protests at Jammu, Srinagar, Leh and Kargil.
Prominent among those who attended included Amreek Singh, Narender Singh Jamwal, Ganesh Khajuria,Mohd Rafeeq Rather, Amarnath  Thakur, Rajinder Gupta, Darshan Sharma, Khalid Bashir Dileep Kumar, Suresh Singh Toofani, Deepak Sharma and Anil Kumar.
