KATRA, Jan 27: The police arrested four persons under Gambling Act and recovered Rs 6250 as stake money from their possession near Banganga here today.
Acting on a specific information a police party led by SI Vinod Kumar I/C Police Post Banganga under the supervision of SHO Katra Kuldeep Krishan and SDPO, Dr Ashok Sharma conducted raid at a shed at Banganga and nabbed four persons for gambling. Rs 6250 stake money was also seized by police.
Those arrested were identified as Bhim Singh, son of Naseeb Singh, resident of Devigarh, Romesh Singh, son of Saran Singh, resident of Ladda, Balwan Singh, son of Dhani Ram from Ladda in Udhampur and Makhan Singh, son of Daleep Singh, resident of Ladda. They were booked under 13 Gambling Act.
