JAMMU, Apr 18: Three day Training programme on “Skill Enhancement for Radio Industry” at Government Women College (GCW), Parade concluded today.
On the valedictory function, Tanveer Jehan, Commissioner/ Secretary, Higher Education/ Health was the chief guest while Prof Muqbil Chisti, Director Colleges, Dr Kiran Bakshi, Principal of the College, faculty members and students were also present.
While speaking, Dr Kiran Bakshi, Principal of the college, presented the welcome address and emphasized on imbibing new skills and convergent learning, as the same is required to survive well in this highly competitive world.
Tanveer Jehan, Commissioner/ Secretary, Higher Education/ Health, in her speech appreciated the indicatives taken by the college to train the students for future life.
She said that this kind of training would enable them to select a full time or part time career in radio industry.
Dr Sakshi Koul, HoD, Home Science, expressed that living and working at the cutting edge and keeping abreast with new technologies and acquiring new skills, is the need of the hour.
At the end, Dr Aruna Dubey, presented vote of thanks.
