PREWA demands release of DA

JAMMU, Jan 28: J&K Pris-ons Retired Employees Welfare Association (PREWA) expres-sed serious concern over inordinate delay being caused by the Government in releasing 6 percent DA installment due to July 2015 in respect of State pensioners and employees.
In a statement issued, Krishan Singh, President, PREWA said that poor pensioners and employees are facing acute financial hardships due to rise in the prices of the essential commodities.
He added that the pensioner in J&K have not so far been provided the benefit of revision of pension after 80 to 100 years of age by 20 to 100 percent which was long back made available to the Central Government pensioners. This disparity is also required to be removed on priority basis, Krishan Singh said and demanded enhancement in the medicare expenses.
