JAMMU, Jan 28: PDP president Mehbooba Mufti has cancelled her scheduled meeting with party legislators, district and block presidents and other senior leaders here on February 3 but she would go ahead with a similar meeting in Srinagar on January 31.
Sources in the PDP said that Mehbooba Mufti would come to Jammu on February 2 on four days visit, her first in the winter capital of the State after the death of her father and Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on January 7.
Mehbooba, who is Lok Sabha member from Anantnag, would stay in the State Guest House and meet only senior party leaders to discuss with them the present political situation in the State.
She would return to Srinagar on February 5.
Earlier, Mehbooba had called two meetings of party legislators and senior leaders including district and block presidents on January 31 in Srinagar and February 3 in Jammu to discuss with them the formation of next Government in the State.
