JAMMU, Jan 29: An Executive Committee meeting of State AYUSH Society under National AYUSH Mission, J&K, was conducted in the conference hall of Directorate General of Indian Systems of Medicine, here.
The meeting was chaired by Dr Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department.
A detailed power point presentation was given by State Program Manager on the various agenda. Issues were discussed and decisions taken for achieving the objectives of National AYUSH Mission. To achieve all the objectives and the targets doctors and paramedical staff need to be more responsive and punctual.
Dr Bhandari laid emphasis upon the integrative approach of National Health Mission (NHM) and National AYUSH Mission (NAM) towards providing better health care services to the society at large and filling the existing gaps in health sector and also to provide choice of treatment to patients.
The meeting was attended by Additional Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department, Mohammad Ashraf Haqaq, Mission Director National Health Mission Dr Mohan Singh and the officers of Directorate General of Indian Systems of Medicine, Jammu.
On the occasion, Dr MK Bhandari inaugurated the Biomedical Attendance System (BAS) installed in the DG ISM office along with Deputy Director Jammu, Government Ayurvedic Hospital and Controller of Stores.
Directorate of ISM also installed Biometric Attendance System in AYUSH Unit GMC Srinagar and AYUSH Unit at JLNM hospital and Government Unani Hospital at Srinagar.
