10-day long ‘Peshawari Food Festival’ commences at Hotel KC Residency

JAMMU, Jan 29: Ten day long ‘Peshawari Food Festival’ commenced at Hotel KC Residency here today.
Peshawar, a region of Pakistan, is known for a cuisine which is rich in taste and aroma. The cuisine has an influence of traditions and flavors of South Asia, especially Middle Eastern, Asian, Mughal, Sindh, Punjab and North India.
This time The Terrace Sky Lounge at KC Residency has brought this flavorsome cuisine to the city to delight the residents of the city through the “Peshawari Food Festival”.
The Award Winning Celebrity Master Chef M Rehman who has rich experience in European and gulf countries would unfold the mystic recipes.
During food festival one can indulge into mouth watering, aromatic and delicious Peshawari delicacies with an extensive selection of kababs, koftas and kormas prepared in traditional lagans and degchis will be served. The menu will include popular dishes like Peshawari Chilly Keema, Gosht-e-Peshawari, Lagan Ka Murg, Lahori Zeera Murg, Badami Paneer, Till Khubani Kebab, Ajwaini Tandoori Pasande, Angoori Kofta, Dal Peshawari, Dum-e-Jafrani and Sheer Korma among several others.
Flavoursome shorbas, chargrilled kebabs and melt-in-mouth kormas richness seems to be the hallmark of Peshawari cuisine as each dish is prepared to suit the royal standards. Meat comes at its succulent best, the result of double marination in cheese and raw papaya, there are gravies thickened with cream-cashew paste and desserts that flaunt a lavish dash of saffron.
Peshawari food festival, going on at the renovated rooftop restaurant of KC Residency has in store an array of delicacies from the great Pathan city.
Authentic desserts include delightfully yummy Ande Ka Halwa, Roti Ka Halwa, Gulabi Kheer, Aam Kheer, Khubani Halwa, Sewiyan Josh and Chilgoze Ke Kheer. Exemplifying the overwhelming spirits of Peshawar, each guest would be welcomed with refreshing drink.
