Gur ends flat in thin trade

NEW DELHI, Jan 30:  There was no change in the pattern of trading at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today with prices after moving in a tight range on little doing, closed at previous closing.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also settled steady in the absence of worthwhile activity.
Marketmen said absence of demand amid increased arrivals mainly kept prices at last levels.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 2,800-2,900, pedi Rs 2,800-2,900, dhayya Rs 2,900-3,000 and shakkar Rs 3,000-3,100.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,300-2,350, chakku Rs 2,450-2,600, khurpa Rs 2,350-2,400 and Ladoo Rs 2,500-2,550.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,450-2,500 and dhayya Rs 2,450-2,500. (PTI)
