JAMMU, Feb 2: The dead body of a female infant was found this evening from the office premises of Director Health Services, Jammu.
According to a police spokesperson, some officials of the Health department posted at Director Health Services (DHS), Jammu, today at about 5. 30 pm found a blood ridden body of a newly born female baby at a corner in the office compound of DHS Jammu.
He said that on getting information from the Health officials, a police team led by Incharge, Police Post, SMGS Hospital, Sub-Inspector Wasim Mehraj, reached the spot and shifted the dead body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for medico-legal formalities.
In this connection, a case under Section 318 RPC was registered at City police station and further investigations were underway.
