SRINAGAR, Feb 2: Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel including an officer were injured after a militant hurled a grenade on CRPF during search and cordon operations at Arwani village of Bijbehara area of Anantnag district this evening.
Militants hurled a grenade on a CRPF party during searches in Arwani area of Anantnag. As the security forces had zeroed in on a residential house and suddenly a militant came out and hurled a grenade on forces resulting in injuries to two CRPF men. The militant managed to escape.
The injured CRPF men were immediately rushed to hospital for treatment. The cordon in the area, however, was lifted later.
