JDA employees stage dharna

JAMMU, Feb 3: JDA Employees’ Union today staged a dharna in front of JDA office, Vikas Bhawan, Rail Head Complex, Jammu, in support of their demands, but later suspended the same till March 2 on the assurance of JDA Vice-Chairman.
The decision was taken after a meeting of the Union leaders with JDA Vice-Chairman during which the Union leaders under the leadership of their president, Ashok Singh, discussed their long pending demands like regularization of consolidated, contractual and casual/daily rated workers who have completed seven years of service and enhancement in FTA for the field staff, with JDA Vice-Chairman.
The JDA Vice-Chairman assured the Union to fulfill their demands within one month following which the union suspended their dharna till March 2. The union said if their demands were not fulfilled till March 2, the union will start their agitation on March 3.
