SRINAGAR: Working president of the National Conference (NC) Omar Abdullah today said appointment of advisors by Governor N N Vohra was a clear indication of prolonged central rule followed by elections this year.

Former Chief Minister was reacting to media reports that Mr Vohra has appointed two advisors former IAS officer Parvez Dewan and Khursheed Ahmad Ganie.

Taking micro blogging site Twitter Mr Abdullah said. This clearly indicates that Gov Vohra doesn’t see an early end to central rule in the state. Elections this year.         Jammu and Kashmir is under Governor rule since January 8 following the death of chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, who was leading a coalition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state. Sayeed breathed his last in AIIMS, New Delhi, on January 7.

However, the two coalition partners have so far failed to iron out their differences over the issue of implementation of Common Minimum Programme (CMB).

Presidents of both the parties had met the Governor recently and presented their point of view on government formation in the State.

Though BJP has sought ten days time but PDP said no alliance government was possible until an assurance is given by the central leadership of BJP about early implementation of CMBs. (AGENCIES)
