Sir,
Life is unpredictable but that doesn’t mean that it be taken for granted. Every life lost in a road accident is a loss to the society to the State and to the nation. But are we doing enough to make provisions to assure that such things don’t happen or are we just having a callous attitude and taking it as another accident and lamenting as usual.
Roads are getting choked, mindless drivers are increasing, road rages are common these days. If my car hits another car, there is a possibility that the other person would kill me in a rage rather than the accident itself. Another menace is the matadorwalas who sometime treat roads as racing tracks for there huge sports cars. They are their source of livelihood but its better that they be taught some road manners and make them realise that an ordinary scooterwala or bikewala also has someone waiting at his home.
Government took several steps but in vain. Failure of traffic lights system is unfortunate and more unfortunate is when you see four policewalas gossiping , ignoring the traffic rule violaters and not ensuring compliance. Though their job is difficult but still its their job and they have to do it.
Yours etc….
