Army inaugurates vocational training centre

SRINAGAR, Feb 5: Army today inaugurated a vocational training centre Krusan village of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
A defence spokesman said the facilities such as stitching, cutting, tailoring, embroidery and computer training have been made available for the women folk.
“The aim of the training centre is to create a sustainable skill development program which will facilitate employment of youth in various industries and provide platform for self employment to the youth especially the women folks,” he said.
The inauguration function was attended by over 200 villagers, including elders, and 93 girls who have been enrolled for training at the vocational training centre.
