Congress pays tributes to Moti Lal Nehru on his death anniversary

NEW DELHI : Congress today paid tributes to its former president and freedom fighter Moti Lal Nehru on his death anniversary.
Born on May 6, 1861 in Agra, Nehru was a lawyer, a key figure in the India’s freedom movement and one of the prominent leaders of the Indian National Congress.
He served as Congress president for two terms in 1919-1920 and 1928-1929. Nehru–the father of country’s first Prime Minister Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru–, passed away on this day in 1931 in Lucknow. (AGENCIES)
