Veterans cell will help a lot: Ex-servicemen

Jammu, Feb 8: Rastriya Sanik Morcha unit of the J&K State held a gathering of Ex-Servicemen at West-Delhi recently and applauded the role of the Chief of Army Staff Gen Dalbeer Singh for his constant focus and ongoing drive for the veterans of the Army.
Col (retd) Ajit Singh Sahi, President of the J&K state unit of Rastriya Sanik Morcha while addressing the gathering said that the recently opened “Veterans Cell” by the COAS is another step taken by the current COAS focusing on the welfare of the veterans.
The gathering was of the opinion that the focus of the COAS Gen Dalbeer Singh and the Western Army Commander Lt Gen K J Singh towards the Ex-Servicemen of the Army clearly showed the regard of the senior Army hierarchy for the veterans and the war-widows as such.
A score of steps were taken in the past one year highlighting the interest of the Army towards its senior veterans and their families and the same was appreciated by the gathering, “They said the Veteran and aged ex-servicemen today expect support from the organization for their services rendered to the Army and the nation as such and positive steps are being taken in regard to the same.
Other prominent veterans who attended the meeting were Brig Ashok Anand (retd), Col Kunwar V V Singh (Retd) and Sub Charan (retd) among others.
