JAMMU, Feb 9: As a part of ongoing endeavor of the Central University of Jammu (CUJ), to provide placement assistance to the students, Department of HRM & OB, Central University of Jammu (CUJ) organized a pre-placement talk by Vodafone.
Prateek Bakshi, Head, M Paisa, Vodafone, apprised the students about changing workplace scenario. How the face of education is moving from traditional to technical. He elaborated how technology is empowering youth as he discussed the mobile wallet services being offered by Vodafone.
Vivek Wadhera, Head, Customer Service, shared consumer’s experiences and emphasized how brands can be built. He further stressed on self branding and urged the students to create their own identity. Students from all the departments attended the session and enthusiastically participated in the discussion during the session.
Team Vodafone also set up their canopy and involved the students by making them involved in various games and activities.
Earlier, Raj Nehru, Associate Director, HR, IBM and Sonal Verma, DGM trainings, IBM-Concentrix had visited the campus and interacted with the students. They have agreed to offer summer internship to seven students and place five students in IBM- Concentrix.
Dr Jaya Bhasin, Head Department of HRM &OB expressed satisfaction over the placement efforts of the department and ascertained that the Central University of Jammu is committed to provide quality training and final placement assistance to the students.
