Jugal expresses concern over poor BSNL services

JAMMU, Feb 9: Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma, along with General Manager BSNL Goutam Lal, while chairing a meeting of senior officials and members of Telephone Advisory Committee (TAC) at Jammu, expressed his concern over poor services in rural and far flung areas in particular.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, who shared the feedback from different areas of Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency with these officials as well as sought suggestions from TAC members, said that the people who have been using the BSNL services have complaints against it and early steps should be taken to provide best possible services to them.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said that although there might be less problem in majoy cities but the people in rural and remote areas are not fully satisfied with BSNL. He said that R.S. Pura, Akhnoor and almost whole districts of Rajouri and Poonch are badly hit by the poor performance of mobile and internet services.
While stressing upon the BSNL officials to take the matter seriously and on priority, Jugal Kishore Sharma assured them if they need any extra infrastructure for meeting the needs of people, it can be taken up with the Ministry concerned at the Centre. He said any hurdle in smooth and quality services to the people should be removed so that they are not forced to shift to other service providers.
Besides senior officials of BSNL, the meeting was attended by TAC Members namely Subhash Jandial, Kashmira Singh, Satpal Pappy and M L Dogra.
