POONCH, Feb 9: PHE workers held a massive protest in front of Dak Bangalow under the chairmanship of district president of the unit, Mohd Akbar Chouhan here today.
The workers were shouting slogans against the higher authorities and demanding release of their wages pending for the last 31 months. They condemned the attitude of the concerned officers for ignoring workers’ issues.
The Union leader extended gratitude to the Governor NN Vohra for issuing directions to the senior officers to decide workers’ fate. The workers have high hopes from the Governor as this decision can change the future of temporary employees working for the last more than 15 to 20 years.
The agitating workers demanded that their issues regarding their salary, land cases, confirmation etc. be solved without any delay.
