BGSBU announces admission for academic year 2016

RAJOURI, Feb 9: Vice Chancellor, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University released the admission prospectus for the year 2016 in a function held today in University’s Conference hall. The function was attended by Deans of different Schools, Heads of Departments, senior faculty members and officers of University administration. This is the first Admission drive under the stewardship of Professor Javed Musarrat who took over the reins of Vice Chancellorship in October 2015.
The highlight of the new session is introduction of three new academic programmes and evening courses in such Engineering and Science Subjects in which the regular courses are not able to cater to the huge demand. The new courses, namely MBA- Hospitality and Tourism, Diplomas in Front Office and House Keeping are sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. These courses have been designed to generate trained human resource to meet manpower requirement of the fast growing Hospitality and Tourism industries and provide employment.
The University is busy establishing Nursing Colleges. Admission process to B. Sc Nursing course will also be held this year. The University campus is abuzz with the construction work for as many as nine new blocks to house new Schools of Studies that are on the anvil.
While releasing the Admission Prospectus, Vice Chancellor announced that several facilities are being made available to strengthen the on-going academic programmes and facilitate introduction of new teaching and research programmes. These include appointment of scholars of eminence from all over the country as Adjunct Professors in different Schools and awarding Fellowships to M. Phil, Ph. D and physically disadvantaged scholars.
