JAMMU, Feb 9: Governor N N Vohra has expressed serious concern over the casual approach of the officers in maintaining records and submission of files to the authorities.
According to the circular issued by the General Administration Department, the Governor has observed that files are not being submitted to the authorities in a proper manner and in certain cases, even file covers are not changed even after they get worn out.
“The note/correspondence side of the files are generally neither page numbered nor maintained properly as per the Manual of Secretariat Procedure”, the circular said. Now, it has been impressed upon all the Administrative Secretaries to ensure that official record is maintained strictly as per the Manual of Secretariat Procedure”.
