NSS Unit of GCW Gandhi Nagar organizes Blood Donation Camp

JAMMU, Feb 9: NSS Unit of Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu, Department of Blood Transfusion and Medicines, Govt. Medical College, Jammu and J&K State Aids Control Society, Jammu organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp today at Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, here.
The Blood Donation Camp was jointly inaugurated by Dr. Kiran Bakshi, Principal, Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and RC Puri, Honourary Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu.
While speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kiran Bakshi appreciated the efforts made by the NSS Unit of the College for organizing the Voluntary Blood Donation Camp and stressed upon other students of the College to come forward and donate blood voluntarily for humanitarian cause.
Mr Puri also appreciated the spirit of discipline, devotion, dedication and enthusiasm of the NSS Unit of the College for organizing the Blood Donation Camp.
More than 33 Units of Blood were donated by the students of the College which included Prof. Amit Pal Kour and Prof. Ashwani Khajuria.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion were Prof. Neelam Thappa and Prof. Ashiq Malik.
