JAMMU, Feb 10: For proper disposal of garden waste, Floriculture Department Jammu organized training-cum-demonstration on onsite processing of garden waste.
The programme was organized for the gardeners of Floriculture Department and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Katra at Green Belt Park here.
Anuradha, Scientist, Pollution Control Board Jammu gave live demonstration for disposal of garden waste which can be converted into compost without harming the environment.
Speaking on the occasion, AK Gupta, Director, Floriculture Department Jammu stressed upon officers and incharge gardeners of the department to adopt the technique in the parks and gardens of the department being environment friendly.
DV Gupta, Floriculture Officer and other officers of the department were also present on the occasion.
