JAMMU, Feb 11: Governor N N Vohra today issued directions to Advocate General of State and his entire team to submit resignations by tomorrow.
Official sources told EXCELSIOR that Raj Bhawan has directed the Advocate General, Senior Additional Advocate Generals, Additional Advocate Generals, Deputy Advocate Generals and all the Government Advocates to submit papers by tomorrow.
It is worthwhile to mention here that Advocate General and his team comprising of around 60 Law Officers should have submitted resignation soon after the imposition of Governor’s Rule early last month keeping in view the past practice. However, they chose to ignore this convention.
Sources said that new Advocate General and his team would be announced in near future so as to properly project the Government stand on various issues before the judiciary.
