JAMMU, Sept 9: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) in a meeting here today held under the chairmanship of its president H L Chatta expressed grave concern over the grabbing of land belonging to Kashmiri Hindus and their religious places by land mafia in Kashmir valley.
As per a release, Mr Chatta urged the Government to take immediate steps in restoring the land of Kashmir Hindus and their religious places encroached by mafia groups in Valley.
Mr Chatta also made an appeal to Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Minister, Raman Bhalla seeking his immediate intervention in the matter and urged him to take action against those Revenue Officials who were involved in tampering the land records.
He said the School building of Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SDS) Baramulla has been forcibly been occupied by a mafia group, besides the land of shrine Gosani Teng also at Baramulla has been encroached.
He said the land of Rajinder Kumar and Vinod Kumar in Lavidoora tehsil Dooru of Anantnag district has been grabbed by mafia groups active in Valley.
Addressing the meting R K Raina senior vice president ASKPC said that the Cremation Ground at Nunar Ganderbal has also been grabbed by the land mafia. He sought immediate intervention of the Government in the matter.
Addressing the meeting Shiban Krishan expressed concern over delaying tactics adopted by Union Government in enhancement of cash relief to migrants and urged it to accord sanction to State Government’s proposal in this regard.
