POONCH, Feb 13: Taking serious note of cases of overcharging from commuters by auto drivers in Poonch town, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Jahangir Ahmed Khan has warned auto drivers to desist from indulging in such practices and strictly adhere to the fare chart notified by the J&K State Transport Authority in this regard.
He warned that any violations of motor vehicle laws and rules will invite penal action and seizure of vehicle including suspension of driving license.
The general public has been asked to inform the authorities in case of violations and overcharging.
