JAMMU, Feb 13: Speaker Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today convened a public meeting with residents of Ekta Vihar Colony to take stock of problems being faced by them.
On the occasion, the locals putforth their demands which included repair of main nullah, improving the drainage systems in the colony, construction of park, removing the encroachments, release of sanctioned amount in favour of recently flood affected people of the areas and installation of new poles etc
The Speaker gave a patient hearing to people and asked the concerned departments to take adequate measures to redress the grievances of the people in time bound manner. He underlined the importance of public cooperation in all-round development of the State and urged them to come forward and monitor the ongoing development works.
