Youth Congress holds protest

SAMBA, Feb 13: A protest demonstration was organized by Youth Congress here today against the Pollution Control Board (PCB) for growing industrial pollution in the area.
A large number of PCC workers participated in the demonstration who alleged that the Pesticide units in Phase one and phase two do not follow the prescribed norms of PCB.
Addressing the protestors the YCI president Samba Vinod Kumar urged the PCB to ensure that whether there is any check on the leakage of toxic material in air, water and soil which will prove harmful for the people of the area.
He said that water is becoming more polluted day by day due to industrial affluent and the authorities should maintain a proper check on the same.
Sunil Kumar , Raj Kumar, Om Parkash, Jagdish Kumar and Mukesh Kumar were among others who addressed the protest.
