Srinagar, Feb 13: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) general secretary Ram Madhav is expected to arrive in Srinagar tomorrow for talks with PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti to break the impasse over formation.
The BJP general secretary is likely to meet the PDP president tomorrow evening or Monday morning and is expected to convey a message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Mehbooba Mufti on Government formation.
Madhav played a crucial role in forging an alliance with PDP last year. As Jammu and Kashmir was placed under Governor’s Rule on January 8, a day after death of then Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, his meeting with Mehbooba may prove to be important for Government formation.
Mehbooba who was tipped to be the next Chief Minister if PDP and BJP form the Government again, refused to take oath of office during the mourning period for her father.
