JAMMU, Feb 14: Shri Martand Tirath Trust organized annual Mahyagna of Surya Saptami (birthday of Mahamartand) at Martand Surya Bhawan, Paloura, here today.
In this connection two day yagya was held which concluded today. After Puran Aahuti, Prasad vitran was served. Large number of devotees from all corners of Jammu graced the occasion. During the hawan many religious programme were organized. Bajan mandlies of different parties presented famous bajans. Sermons were delivered by Swami Kumarji, Onkar Nath Shastri.
The programme started with the welcome speech delivered by Salegram Bawnoo, general secretary. Hari Krishan Sidha, spoke on the importance of Surya Saptami festival.
Ashok Kumar Sidha, president put forth the annual report of the Trust. Leaders of various Kashmiri Pandit organsations were also present on this occasion. The stage was managed by Sanjeev Khah, spokesman of the Trust.
Similar Yagna was also performed at Martand Tirath Raj Kashmir, the birth place of lord Mahamartanda. A large number of people participated there.
