SAMBA, Feb 14: Ten buffaloes, one horse and two goats were roasted alive and about six were critically injured when a straw kullla caught the fire near Dwarka Puri near here late last night.
According to police the fire tenders reached the spot and after a struggle of one hour they managed to control the fire. The owner of the kullla/buffaloes was identified as Shahwali son of Hmaam Deen resident Gujjar Basti near Dwarka Puri under Supwal Police Post. Police has also registered the case in this connection for further investigation. The cause of fire was not ascertained as yet. However police is investigating the matter.
