Udhampur, 16: The eight day national integration tour, organized under the aegis of ‘Op Sadbhavna’, comprising 13 dental students and 2 faculty members of Government Dental Colleges of J&K was ‘flagged in’ by Lt Gen NPS Hira, Chief of Staff, HQ Northern Command.
The tour provided the team members with an opportunity to broaden their horizons as professionals, by meeting and interacting with the highest level dignitaries at various locations in Delhi & Agra.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief of Staff, motivated every member of the tour to work hard to achieve their goals and excel professionally, so that they could serve the society
While in Delhi the participants had the unique honour of meeting the COAS, General Dalbir Suhag, who extended his warm greetings to all the participants on behalf of the Indian Army.
The participants also interacted with Lt Gen TK Bandy opadhyay, Director General of Dental Services, who discussed about the state of dental services as they are obtained in the State of J&K and Army’s contribution in supplementing them.
The team visited Army Dental Centre (Research & Referral), a super-specialty tertiary care centre and the Air Force Dental Centre and Air Force Museum at Air Force Station, Palam, as also the Centre of Dental Education & Research at AIIMS, New Delhi.
