JAMMU, Feb 16: An absconder, who was evading his arrest in the car theft case, has been arrested.
As per police sources, a thief, who was evading his arrest in car stealing case has been arrested.
The accused has been identified as Zerit Gill, son of Wazir Masih, a resident of Christian Colony.
He along with his associate had stolen the car from Digiana area few months back. His associate was arrested earlier, but he was evading his arrest and finally got arrested.
Questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
Police team led by Incharge Digiana police post SI Pawan Dogra made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Bishnesh Kumar, SP South Shaazad Salaria and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
