2 arrested for smuggling bovine to Valley

JAMMU, Feb 16: Jhajjar Kotli police rescued ten bovine animals and arrested two persons.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Jhajjar Kotli police station laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK18-2618.
During checking, police rescued 10 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested two persons.
The accused have been identified as Sabzar Ahmed Bhat, son of Mohammad Sultan Bhat and Mohammad Hussain Thokar, son of Sona Ullah Thokar, both residents of Kulgam.
They were trying to smuggling the bovine to Valley, but their bid was foiled by the police.
A case under FIR Number 21/16 under Section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Ravinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma, SP Rural Rajiv Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
