Stop exploiting situation for political gains: Cong

JAMMU, Sept 10: While cautioning people to remain vigilant from the divisive forces, Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary and spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma (MLC) lashed out at the communal elements and warned them to shun the habit of exploiting situation for vested political interests.
Addressing one day convention of Block Congress Committee R S Pura in district Jammu today, PCC spokesperson lashed out at the policies of communal and divisive forces to exploit the situation for vested political interests. He cautioned the people against the designs of such political parties and advised them to follow the path of secularism and work to strengthen the unity and integrity of the State and the nation.
The PCC leader discussed the demands of the area highlighted by Dr Karan Bhagat, member PCC and several Sarpanchs from the area. He assured the people that necessary steps would be taken to mitigate their problems. He urged the Government to provide liberal funds to this border block of R S Pura.
The convention was organized by Dr Karan Bhagat who raised several burning issues of the people of this border belt, especially of the farming community. The issues like power cuts, drinking / irrigation water supply, condition of roads and lanes etc were projected by Mr Bhagat and other Block members.
