Pass outs of Yoga Teacher Training Course felicitated

JAMMU, Feb 19: A function to distribute certificates to the successful Yoga scholars was held today at HQ Bharat Scouts & Guides, Gandhi Nagar.
Speaker, J&K Legislative Assembly, who was the chief guest, awarded certificates to the successful scholars. The function was presided over by Sudhir Kumar Jain, Vice Chancellor, SMVD University, Subodh Tiwari while Chief Executive Officer, Kaivalyadhama Lonavla Pune, was the guest of honour. Roma Wani, State secretary, Indian Red Cross, State vice president, Bharat Scouts & Guides and ID Soni, State Commissioner, Bharat Scouts & Guides, were the special guests.
The 3-month Yoga Teacher-Training Course was started in Jammu by Kaivalyadhama Lonavla Pune, the oldest and the best Yoga Institution in the World, in collaboration with Vichar Kranti Manch International (VKMI). In the first batch 54 students were enrolled out of which 42 successfully completed the three-month teacher training course.
While speaking on the occasion, Subodh Tiwari detailed the need of Yoga in day to day life and its application to increase the immunity system of the body. He also made the gathering aware about the other ongoing Courses being conducted by Kaivalyadhama Lonavla Pune besides the research work being done in the Institute.
He wished the participants of Second Batch of Teacher Training Course for which the application for more than twenty has already been received.
In the end successful candidates were felicitated by awarding certificates by the dignitaries.
The programme was conducted by Chander Mohan Sharma, general secretary and concluded with vote of thanks by Sushma Misri, Project Director, VKMI.
