JAMMU, Feb 19: Principal Sessions Judge Bhaderwah, Sanjeev Gupta took serious note of inordinate delay in depositing decree amount (compensation) by the Chief Secretary in a suit filed by one Mohd Akbar, whose orchard was damaged due to firing between security and terrorists. Now, the court has directed Chief Secretary to deposit the amount before March 18 failing which an order of attachment of salary of Chief Secretary will be passed.
“The decree amount of Rs 164065 was passed in the year 1998 but despite lapse of 16 years debator Chief Secretary has failed to deposit the amount”, the court said.
