JAMMU, Feb 20: Jammu and Kashmir Government has decided to use android-based application e-Samiksha for effective monitoring of infrastructure projects in the State. In the first phase around 100 high-value projects are being brought under the e-monitoring mechanism.
This was decided at a high-level meeting convened here today under the chairmanship of Financial Commissioner Planning & Development, B B Vyas.
The Additional District Development Commissioners (ADDCs) and District Statistical and Evaluation Officers (DSEOs) of Jammu province responsible for monitoring of the infrastructure projects in their respective areas of jurisdiction were present at the meeting.
Stressing the need for regular physical verification of the infrastructure projects, the Financial Commissioner asked the ADDCs to remain in the field of their respective districts for at least 15 days to monitor the developmental activities.
Mr Vyas directed the Director Project Appraisal/Plan Monitoring section to keep close liaison with ADDCs and DSEOs in the process of monitoring and physical verification of infrastructure projects and also hold regular meetings with them to get feedback from the field.
ADDCs and DSEOs gave a brief about the physical verification allotted to them with regards to development works/projects.
The meeting was also attended by the Secretary Rural Development Department, Director General, Economics and Statistics, J&K, Special Secretary to Government, Planning and Development Department and Directors of the Planning and Development Department.
