Give free hand to Army in Kashmir: VHP

Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Feb 21: VHP has expressed grave concern over the increasing terrorist attacks in the Valley and has appealed the Governor N N Vohra to handover Kashmir to Army to flush out terrorists from there completely.
In a statement here, today VHP senior leader Dr Rama Kant Dubey said that the nation can’t afford the killing of security forces and army personnel by the terrorists anymore and the Government should give free hand to Army in making combing operations in the Valley and other militancy infested areas of the State for restoration total peace.
Dr Dubey said that the situation in Valley is deteriorating day by day and this is a serious issue which can even demoralize the security forces. Dr Dubey said how long India will bleed in Kashmir as militancy over the years has taken a heavy toll in the State. He said instead of adopting the week kneed policy to counter terrorism in the State the Government should take a bold stand and chase the terrorists to finish.
He also demanded that the separatists be charged under treason and put behind the bars as nation can’t afford their rhetoric any more. He said with soft policy towards terrorists and separatists the anti national elements have succeeded in raising their ugly head in other parts of the country and recent JNU, CU Hyderabad and episodes in other universities is the outcome of the same policy.
