JAMMU, Feb 23: A meeting to discuss the arrangements for the forthcoming Maha Shivratri festival was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu Dr. Arun Manhas here today.
During the meeting the concerned officers of various departments were directed to ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place well in time so that the devotees don’t face any inconvenience.
Officers of PDD and PHE Departments were asked to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply at identified places during the festival. Health authorities were asked to ensure availability of fully equipped ambulance at the venues of celebration and enroute the procession. Threadbare discussion regarding various other related issues like traffic regulation, security and cleanliness was also held during the meeting and the concerned departments were asked to put in synchronized efforts to ensure adequate arrangements on time.
It was informed in the meeting that about 13 religious jhankies will be taken out on March 5 which will start from Ranbireshwar temple.
Among others the meeting was attended by SSP Traffic Mohan Lal and ACG Jammu Shehnaz Akhter.
