MLA Basohli kick-starts developmental works

KATHUA, Feb 23: Former Minister and MLA Basohli Choudhary Lal Singh today conducted extensive tour of Basohli constituency and kick-started several development works.
During his tour the, MLA laid foundation stone of 6 km road from Barighat to Nagali which will be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 17 lakh. He also laid foundation of 6 km road link from Basohli to Dhar Mahanpur- Jankhar via Thatti to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 19 lakh.
Lal Singh also laid foundation stone of Common Facility Centre (CFC) cum Training Centre at Plahi which will cost Rs 50 lakh. He laid foundation stone of 4 km road from Tikri to Jamna via Draman to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 18 lakh. Foundation stone of 3.5 km road from Pepri Morh to Khaddi via Chamor was also laid under block Bhoond and will be completed with an estimated cost of 18 lakh.
To improve the road connectivity in far flung areas,  MLA Basohli also laid foundation stone of 4 km road from Khajura to Chinch worth Rs 13 lakh and another 4.5 km road from Slow to Khalla with an estimated cost of Rs 14 lakh.
He also conducted public grievances redressal camp at Draman and took stock of the problems of people mainly related to the provision of electricity, drinking water supply, road connectivity, up gradation of Government high school Hutt and other amenities. He directed the officers concerned to ensure better delivery of services to the people in a most transparent manner.
Among others ACD Kathua, Executive Engineer REW, BDO, AEE PDD, AE PHE, Panch, Sarpanch and villagers were present on this occasion.
